We are eternally grateful for the confidence and compassion that our birthing doula brought into our labor and delivery room. Her expertise before, during, and after our birthing experience left us feeling overwhelmed with an immense amount of gratitude for her service and overall demeanor.
Homegrown, as an entity, has a way of empowering women to take on the incredible task of bringing a human (or humans!) into this world! Classes, yoga, photography, and the overall support of the Homegrown Community has truly changed our lives!

martha.homegrownfamilies@gmail.com
Martha discovered that she had a doula heart the day she gave birth to her son, Elijah. Since 1996, Martha has attended a wide array of births: Hospital and home births, water births, cesarean births, teens, IVF families, and twins. Each birth and family she has been honored to serve, have left a mark on her heart.
Martha believes that everyone should have doula support regardless of means for births, deaths, infant loss, miscarriage or abortion. She has witnessed that with emotional, physical and informational support, life's most significant moments can be a positive empowered experience on your terms with a doula by your side.
As a doula, Martha is experienced, reliable, a good listener, steadfast and a joy to be around. She strives to ensure that birth partners feel included and prepared to assist at their comfort level. She also comes with a wealth of knowledge on comfort measures, breastfeeding, and postpartum support. She sees the birth of our children as a season in life where your birth and postpartum doula can ground you and your family with the support you desire.
Martha lives in Hendersonville with her wife, Amanda, and their two pups, Beatrice and Zorra.
