Prenatal Yoga With Courage

Prenatal Yoga Series

Homegrown Families cares for each pregnant and new parent with compassion and love, creating a sacred space and fostering a sense of community. Our certified practitioners are known for their devotion to the physical and emotional well-being of birthing people and their babies. Homegrown Families integrated approach supports pregnant people through each stage of pregnancy and beyond.

Through gentle stretching and safely modified yoga postures, our classes will address many of the common discomforts brought on by pregnancy, in addition to strengthening the body to physically prepare for the work of labor.

Anxiety and stress are common for expecting parents. Our yoga series will teach specific relaxation techniques that pregnant people can utilize to encourage inner peace and centeredness. These techniques serve to fortify parents with the ability to tune into their own unique wisdom and intuition.

This 6 week series is a multifaceted approach to wellbeing that incorporates stretching, focused breathing, mental centering, and preparation for birth. Homegrown Families’ yoga program aims to facilitate a more comfortable and happy pregnancy, while equipping parents with tools they can use throughout their pregnancy, during labor, and postpartum. This In-Person series meets at Homegrown Families Health & Education Center

Facilitated by: Carrie Ragsdale

The classes are $25 a week for a total of $150.

This class meets every Thursday from 5:30pm-6:45pm p.m for six weeks.

Carrie is a compassionate birth worker who believes childbirth is a transformational journey that should be celebrated and honored at the highest level. Carrie has been a certified and practicing yoga instructor since 2020. As her personal practice and teaching career progressed, she realized the disconnection to body that many experience, particularly the womb space within women in their childbearing years. This realization led Carrie on a journey of deepening education via a birth doula training, prenatal yoga training and certification, and gaining of wisdom from those who previously birthed. She quickly realized that her path had led her to become a birth doula, allowing her to further serve her community and empower expecting families to achieve the birth of their dreams. Carrie strongly believes in uniting the birthing person, birth partner, baby, and doula as one cohesive unit to nurture the desired birthing experience. No matter how you envision your pregnancy, laboring, and early postpartum journey, Carrie promises to stand by your side and provide the emotional, physical, and educational support you need.
